Even though that's undoubtedly the worst decision in Belichick's NFL life, Jones @ Alabama had like 2 ALL pro Receivers, probably 1-2 ALL pro Linemen (NFL=ALL Pro) +another only probowl NFL WR & perhaps another NFL pro bowl O-Lineman, rounded by a RB that could start for most NFL teams & perhaps 2 more O-Linemen that could make it on many NFL Rosters...rounded out by what...?=A top 5 College Defense and Special Teams every year. =Yes, Jones throws some nice passes...but dang=I Don't even know how you can grade and draft Mac Jones seperate from the just ridiculous talent he was surrounded by @ Alabama.

Yeah…he should’ve been picked in the top 10 of that shitty draft class. Wouldn’t have ended up in a pretty situation but he had all the makings of a starting QB.

Looking back at this… Mac was pretty average. Most of this film is either defenders tripping which was allowing his receivers to get significant separation, Smith burning a DB, Smith and other receivers readjusting to where Mac is throwing, ill-advised throws that Mac would’ve definitely been picked off in the NFL because hers throwing into double and triple coverage, and him just throwing the same pass. He definitely benefited from having a solid oline that gave him time but he didn’t show anything special that any other QB would’ve been able to do with this same Alabama team. This film shows more talent on the WR’s side than it does Mac.
